Case #1: Oconee County Parks & Rec (Georgia)
Project Goals: 1. Develop the best Parks & Rec web site in the state of Georgia . 2. Inform citizens of the department's programs, events, and area parks 3. Develop a way for the staff to update portions of the site at will. 4. Develop an ongoing maintenance and consulting solution with Bell City to keep the site running smoothly and up-to-date.
Solution:The solution provides an online database and control panel that allows the staff to update certain portions of the site. The staff can take their own pictures and upload them along with any program-specific registration forms. The staff's control over page layout is limited, keeping the site standardized and clean. The site design and structure of information allows visitors to find information with ease.
Design Notes: The design is light and professional. For navigational ease, a menu was used that incorporates drop-down menus - users can navigate to any page, from any page.

Case #2: Horton Components
Project Goals: 1. Establish a quality web presence for the company while providing an online product database for its customers. 2. Create an ongoing maintenance solution with Bell City to allow for effective, efficient site updating.
Solution: The site promotes Horton's products through an online database that allows customers to search through hundreds of different products. Customers can view current availability, new products, closeouts, specials, upcoming events and contact the entire Horton sales team directly from the site. Investors can even peruse through archived press releases and other company information.
Design Notes: The design is colorful yet conservative enough to flow with the company's image and market. Per the client's request, we designed the site to fill up the entire screen on any user's monitor. For navigational ease, a menu was used that incorporates drop-down menus and image rollovers.

Case #3: Prestige Parking, Inc.
Project Goals: 1. Create a website that allows customers to search for, locate, register for, and purchase parking all online. 2. Decrease amount of time spent performing customer support for parking reservations.
Solution: The system is custom-developed to fit perfectly with Prestige Parking and its business model. The site utilizes a complex SQL database that stores vast amounts of data ranging from customer data to event scheduling data to specific lot data. This is designed to expand as the number and types of lots available grow.
The site allows parking customers to search all available parking by type and tracks exactly how many spaces are available in each lot, at all times! A full-blown e-commerce solution is utilized here with custom payment forms, a licensed security certificate, and a merchant account for accepting credit cards. Customers can also log in to their own accounts to view order history, print receipts, and print parking contracts.
From the administrative side, Prestige Parking can fully maintain their entire parking system from a password-protected area of the site. With just a few clicks of the mouse, they can view all customers registered for a certain lot, and can retrieve data on specific customers. Further, these reports can be downloaded into Microsoft Excel for administrative purposes. The system can even open and close registration on lots based on dates specified by the staff. Transaction reports are available, refunds can be issued, and notes can be made about each registration.
Design Notes: The design goal here was for a simple, light design that portrayed a standardized organizational look. Perhaps something like one might expect a municipal parking site to look like. The aesthetics of the design are conservative and are specifically laid out to fit with the more important technical functionality of the site.
Observed Benefits:
- Collects literally thousands of dollars in transactions via e-commerce, in which no sales staff is necessary
- Hundreds of labor hours are saved, equaling increased profitability of the company
- New ways to make profits through the site that didn't exist before
- Reports of parking "inventory" and earnings are available to management 24/7
- Helps the customer by making parking spaces significantly easier to find, also 24/7

Case #4: Millennium Lighting, Inc.
Project Goals: 1. Establish a quality web presence for the company while providing an online product database for its customers. 2. Implement a custom Content Management System to allow the company's staff to update their own products and information.
Solution: The site promotes Millennium Lighting's products through an online database that allows customers to search through a large store of products. The search functionality allows users to search by Item #'s, Categories, Families, and Advanced Search Options. All 'New' products are also dynamically pulled into the 'What's New' page. So in effect, the live site actually updates itself.
Design Notes: The design was customized to match Millennium's print work and collateral materials. Each photo in the database was edited to match the theme, giving the site a standardized and professional look.
